I was asking one of my friends about why he became a Christian, ironically he answered: "Because, I've always been in a Christian family, I went to a Christian school, of course I'm a Christian". I don't deny that living in a Christian family or going to a Christian school can help us to become a Christian, to some extend - God can use both of institutions to awaken spiritually death people,. Having said that, there will be no guarantee, if you happen to have strong Christianity values surround you, will ever make you a true Christian.
There are parents, if not many, are sending their kids to Christian school with a hope, they can be a morally good person but not a true Christian, well not to overstated the statement, maybe if they can be good, becoming a true Christian is a bonus, it's kind of like, if you are buying something and you will get some freebies - sort of like icing on the cake.
When someone ever ask you, why you became a Christian, or why you became an atheist, or why you became such and such, we really have to know what is really the foundation of our belief, we have to dig deep down of what we really believe in. We shouldn't just swallow of what our parent, our friends, our society, our school been teaching us. Yes, they have been a very good help in our life to know what we really believe in - but in the end, we really have to know what we really believe not what they believe. Let's keep finding what we really believe in!
